An Arctic Dream in Three Extraordinary Chapters
The Nordic Lights escape is a carefully choreographed journey into the heart of the Arctic, designed for those who seek not just luxury, but genuine wonder. Across three extraordinary legs, you will experience the full spectrum of Finland's winter magic — from the ethereal glow of the aurora borealis dancing above your glass-roofed igloo for three unforgettable nights, to the surreal thrill of sleeping on pure Arctic ice, and finally arriving by helicopter to a private constellation-named lodge where one of your days is dedicated to a magical full-day trip to the official home of Santa Claus.
Each moment has been curated to immerse you in the natural spectacle and culture of the Arctic Circle — from private Glass Roof Shuttle transfers to exclusive reindeer safaris with the Sami people, ice karting under the stars, guided aurora hunting expeditions, and encounters with Santa and his elfs. This is D!TTO at its most adventurous.

What is the Nordic Lights Phenomenon?
Auroras are the result of disturbances in Earth's magnetosphere caused by the solar wind. Major disturbances result from enhancements in the speed of the solar wind from coronal holes and coronal mass ejections.
These disturbances alter the trajectories of charged particles in the magnetospheric plasma. These particles — mainly electrons and protons — precipitate into the upper atmosphere (thermosphere/exosphere), where ionization and excitation of atmospheric constituents emit light of varying colour and complexity.
The form of the aurora, occurring within bands around both polar regions, is also dependent on the amount of acceleration imparted to the precipitating particles. The result is one of nature's most breathtaking spectacles — shimmering curtains of green, purple, and white light dancing silently across the Arctic sky.

Best Viewing Hours
Peak time is often between 11pm – 2am, when skies are darkest and solar activity is most visible.
Ideal Season
Between the autumn and spring equinox (September 21 – March 21). December–January is the darkest part of winter.
Sky Conditions
You need a clear, dark sky with minimal light pollution and ideally a location near the Arctic Circle.
Aurora Oval Regions
Visible from Alaska, Canada, Iceland, Greenland, Faroe Islands, Scandinavia, Finland, Scotland and Russia.
Fall Asleep Under the Sky of the Northern Lights
The resort is located along the road to the Arctic Sea — a stone's throw away from the wilderness of the Urho Kekkonen National Park, a habitat for reindeer, moose, brown bears, lynx, and the majestic golden eagle.
Since D!TTO experiences are unconventional, as soon as you step out of the Airport, we let you be engulfed in the Winter Wonderland adventure with a private Glass Roof Shuttle — during your ride, you emerge in the beauty of this magnificent region.
After settling in, you will find that, whether you choose a Glass Igloo, Log Chalet or Traditional House, the chambers are a perfect blend of modern luxury and natural comfort — providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
We are aiming to secure the Luxury Kelo Glass Igloo, so you may peer at the cosmic realm while enjoying the warmth inside your personal glass-roofed igloo, or indulge in the cozy charm of the log cabin architecture whilst viewing this enchanting Arctic oasis.
